Galloway Community Transport (GCT) supports it's local community by providing transport solutions for people who may not have access conventional public transport. This could be because they live in rural areas and have limited access to a bus service or they are unable to use it because of sensory and/or mobility problems.

What we offer :

Minibus Hire

GCT has 8, 15 and 16 seater minibuses and an all-electric, wheelchair accessible car available for hire.

Hirers must be registered members of GCT.

Member registration is a simple process which costs £30 per year.

Minibuses

Basic hire is £50 for the first 6 hours then £8 per hour up to a maximum of £100 per 24 hour day.

Mileage is charged at £0.70 per mile for the first 100 miles and £0.60 per mile for each mile above 100 miles.

The mileage charge includes fuel.

Our next fuel price increase will take effect on 1st July 2024, and the pricing will be published here.

All our vehicles have a fuel card on board.

​GCT can provide MiDAS qualified drivers: £15 per hour between 0800 and 2200 and £20 per hour between 2200 and 0800.

​

Drivers must be MiDAS certified or be licensed to drive buses.

GCT can arrange drivers for members given sufficient notice.

GCT also provides MiDAS training.
